Andre Levingston Named PBL President

The Premier Basketball League is pleased to announce that Halifax Rainmen General Manager / President Andre Levingston has been named as the new President of the PBL, effective immediately.

"We couldn't be more thrilled to have Andre on board as President of the League," said Severko Hrywnak, M.D., Chairman of the Premier Basketball League.\\"Andre's experience, tenacity and love of the sport will truly serve the league well. We are confident the PBL will thrive under his leadership."

Levingston established the Halifax Rainmen in May of 2006, and the team and its fans have continued to grow every season. Levingston will remain as President and General Manager of the Rainmen during his tenure as President of the PBL.\\"I want to take what I have learned about what works and what doesn't," said Levingston, "and translate that into improving the league operations so that every team will benefit equally."

Levingston will not relocate his office, he will continue to expand the league throughout North America, and operate league business through a satellite office in Halifax, N.S.\\"I can't wait to get started, I believe this is a positive move for me, the Rainmen and all teams and players in the PBL"
