Cavs even it up 1-1

Lawton, OK) – The Lawton-Fort Sill Cavalry defeated the Rochester RazorSharks in the 2010 PBL Championship Series Game 2 with a final score of 95-84 last night at Great Plains Coliseum in Lawton, OK.
The game was intense as the two teams faced off from tip off on through the last seconds of the game with neither team willing to give up. The Cavs were behind at the end of the first quarter with a score of 22-14. But they were able to pull it together starting in the second quarter on through the rest of the game.
Comparatively, both teams had issues during the game. The Cavs led in field goal shooting with 57.4% to the RazorSharks’ 35.7%. But the Cavs had a lot of difficulty with their free throw percentage with 46.4% to the RazorSharks’ 76.9% which the Cavs will have to address in order to aide them in victory on Tues.
What the Cavs did dominate in was what helped them take the win. The Cavs led in assists with 18-12, blocks with 7-4 and steals with 14-6. The RazorSharks struggled with turnovers with 16-10.
Glen Dandridge of the RazorSharks scored 18 points, scored 7-8 of his free throws, had 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal in 28 minutes of play. Keith Friel of the RazorSharks scored 16 points, had 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal in 35 minutes of play.
Brandon Dean of the Cavs scored 20 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals in 42 minutes of play. Elvin Mims had an impressive night scoring the only double double of the game. Mims scored 20 points, had 15 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks and 2 steals in 44 minutes of play.
The two teams will need to address their issues and make changes in order to guarantee a win on either side. The rivalry between the teams continues to grow as they both attempt to win their third consecutive Championship title.
The Cavs and RazorSharks will face off for the final time Tues with tip off at 7:05 p.m. CST at Great Plains Coliseum in Lawton, OK. This will be Game 3 in the 2010 PBL Championship Series and will decide who walks away with the Championship trophy.
