Cavs win their 12th straight

(Lawton, OK)…The Lawton-Fort Sill Cavalry defeated the RazorSharks for the second time this evening with a final score of 115-88 tonight at Great Plains Coliseum.
In the first quarter Elvin Mims scored the most points for the Cavs with 8. The Cavs started to trail behind the Sharks with 9:45 left. Finally, with 56 seconds left the Cavs were able to pull ahead. The Cavs lead in steals with 5-2, blocks with 2-1 and assists with 5-4. The RazorSharks turned over the ball 6 times to the Cavs 3. The Cavs ended the quarter with a final of 30-26.
The second quarter was just as intense as the first. The RazorSharks and the Cavs had tied at 26-26 in the first quarter and it wasn’t until 7:12 left in the second that Fred Durr was able to finally bring in some points with a three pointer. Rashad Woods and Jamaal Davis tied for the most points with 8 for the Cavs in the second. The RazorSharks had 8 turnovers and had 9 player fouls. The teams headed into half time with the Cavs leading 58-42.
The RazorSharks could not get over on the Cavs in the third but they got close. The RazorSharks had 3 turnovers to the Cavs 4 and also had less player fouls with 7-10. DeAnthony Bowden and Davis both tied with the most points scored with 11. The Cavs ended the quarter with a final of 88-71.
The Cavs took away all chance of victory from the RazorSharks in the fourth. Mims got a double-double with 10 rebounds and 14 points. Mims was one of six players to score in double digits. Davis ended the game with 23 points scored, 7 rebounds, 1 block and 1 steal.
The Cavs travel to Halifax to play against the Rainmen at 5:00 p.m. CST on Sat at Halifax Metro Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
