Paul Carter has been involved with the PBL since the league began back in 2007. Paul was born with a basketball in his hand. His father coached basketball for fourteen years and got Paul involved in the sport at an early age. When Paul wasn’t playing basketball, he was watching the game, coaching, officiating, or assigning on various levels. Paul eventually focused on officiating and has built numerous relationships with fans, owners, coaches, and players throughout the sport’s major and minor leagues as a result of his passion for the game. He has been officiating basketball for sixteen consecutive years and has been working in various college and minor leagues for the past twelve. Paul has enjoyed a rewarding career in education, as this allows him to spend his nights, weekends, and summers around the game. His basketball travels have taken him to four Canadian provinces, twice to Puerto Rico and across twenty seven states. Paul currently resides in Tennessee. As a referee, he has officiated games in over 27 US states, as well as Canada and Puerto Rico. In addition, Carter has participated in over 100 referee camps.
